HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I spent my first new year in Korea and I must say, it was really sad. No fireworks, no trumpets sound. Nothing. It was a silent new year, where the clouds tried to over shade the rising sun. It was still beautiful though, hahaha. I got an internship at a local game developer company, so I'll probably just update this blog on weekend. Weekdays are just hectic.

I'm gonna start my first post in 2015 with a review! It has been quite a long time since my last makeup review. Today I'm gonna talk about BH Cosmetics Wild at Heart and Wild Child Baked Eye Shadow Palette. I bought this at the end of last year. The delivery was quite fast, around 2 or 3 weeks?

Baked Eyeshadow Palette | Wild at Heart & Wild Child | 19.95 USD each | Website

Okay, first thing first, even though I wrote 19.95 USD there, every time I went to their site, their products are always on sale (which make me thinks that 9 USD was their actual price). They are cheap (and always on sale?). You can purchase them from the website.

They came safely. They were packaged in plastics and bubble wrap. Oh, and btw, I bought the Wild at Heart, while my room mate bought Wild Child. I borrowed the Wild Child for the sake of this blog. XD

Sadly, most of BH Cosmetics eye shadow actually contained paraben. Their baked eye shadow didn't though. That's why I bought these.

Is this kind of eye shadow palette trending? I love how they put a mirror inside it even though I never use it until now. Well, we will never know when we might use it, right?

The whole package size was 11 x 11 x 1.5 cm. Each eyes shadow's diameter was around 2.5 cm.

Left: Wild at Heart. Right: Wild Child.

Here are the swatches for both of them. I... read too many manga that I swatch them from right to the left OTL. I just realized it now...

I personally picked this palette because of the purple and pink color. They looked gorgeous and I'm pretty satisfied with them. Although the C and D were disappointing because it was hard to get the color out. They were really similar too. The others were pretty much satisfying. They were pigmented well enough.

When I put the colors on my hand, I fell in love. I really love this palette (that I regret a little bit because I didn't buy it). All of them were very well pigmented. I can't choose which color was the prettiest because all of them are beautiful!! Even the light color like 3, 4, 5, and 7 came out really nice.

For you who didn't know, baked eye shadow can be applied with wet or dry brush. My friend said that if you use wet brush, you can get the color more vivid. This was my first baked eye shadow, so everything that I did on my eyes was practically an experiment. Hahaha~

I used the colors B, E, F, G from the Wild at Heart palette. Feels like having a milky way on my eyes (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Is it for long wear use? I probably can say yes. I used them when I went to the office too, didn't touch it up or what (I only touch up my eyeliner and foundation).

Overall, I love this. I must remind you that all of the colors are glittery. It is hard to find a matte baked eye shadow. Not many make up products have it. Lorac and Laura Geller have matte baked eye shadow. I like glittery and shiny eye shadows but I really need matte eye shadows actually XD I need to save up money and buy Urban Decay naked :P

In conclusion (Score: 4.5/5):
+ Cheap
+ Pretty colors!
+ No paraben
+ Most colors are well pigmented
- A few colors are not well pigmented enough

Will I buy it again? With this quality, probably yes. But I might buy another eyeshadow palette though.

Stay positive, be creative. See you next time~
