The entrance of artist alley. I was not allowed to take pictures inside. |
Going to an event is always exciting. Especially when it's related to Japan! (●⌒∇⌒●) Comic World is one of the biggest anime manga event in South Korea. They hold this event in Seoul and Busan, and apparently not only twice but a few times a year. Like I've said before, it's quite similar to Animecon in USA or Comifuro and AFA in Indonesia.
Just to attend this event and look around is actually free. However, if you want to go to the artist alley, they charged you for 4000 KRW.
I came for the cosplay actually. I've attended Comic World Busan 68 last 2011, and they were really amazing. At this latest event, their costumes actually became better and prettier! So here are some cosplay photos that I managed to take ;)
I was really shocked to see them. They were quite good looking too! Pretty boys indeed~ |
Recon corps, assembled!! |
I have to say, she is the best Annie cosplayer I've ever seen with my eyes in real life, not via internet etc. |
I guess she was cosplaying as Ranka from Macross Frontier but I'm not really sure. She looked really kawaii that I was having a girl's crush over her. I wanted to take a lot of picture but another photographer was very busy taking her picture and apparently it's very hard for me to take hers. I wish I looked that kawaii (;*△*;)
She eventually noticed that I really liked her and she said "Thank you very much." (●♡∀♡)
Overall, I think that this year cosplay is much improved than 2011's. I don't say that 2011's cosplayers were bad, they were great. But this time, it was greater than before. I was also very glad that the artist's alley finally sold something other than Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It was more variate this year. I expected there would be many 'Free!' fan art but apparently I just saw one or two booths that sold them. Kuroko no Basket was a hit. I found two booths selling Sherlock, Doctor Who, The Hobbit, and Marvel related stuff. Totally jewel in the desert.
I bought these!—I already expected I would spend some money when I came to this event. Thankfully I managed to buy a few. Anna Sui EDT totally robbed me off this month.
I found a perfect pencil bag for my brushes bag! The gold stickers are anti-radiation sticker. I never found one in Indonesia but these kind of sticker was very common in Korea. People usually stick it on their phone.
I think that's all! I really want to go to Comic World Busan 87 which will be held on July. I hope I could be there~
See you on the next adventure!
Gabriela Tio.
